The Daily Bread Community Kitchen was founded in 1994 by Hobe and Sue Williams who ran Hobe Williams Wholesale Furniture. Hobe after witnessing a homeless man named Lonnie digging through dumpsters for food and dying in the parking lot behind his furniture store purposed in his heart that he would do all in his power to ensure that no one else ever starved again in Morristown. At age 67 he started feeding the hungry in our area with Sue his wife, preparing meals in her kitchen and then serving them to the homeless. We now have served more than 1.6 million meals in the last 25 years and we are continuing Hobe's commitment of not letting anyone go hungry in the Lakeway area. We provide 10 hot meals each week as we are open Monday thru Saturday. We depend on local donations to operate our kitchen and on the more than 125 dedicated volunteers to prepare the meals. We have preaching each day prior to the meal and have a monthly bible study. I am so honored to be keeping this great ministry going to help those that are in need. Please continue to prayer for and support us as we try and follow what Jesus told us to do, "Feed my Sheep"!
